ILIR META: CURICULUM VITAE |
IIlir Meta was born on March 24, 1969 in Skrapar, Albania. He
graduated in Political Economy at the Faculty Economics,
University of Tirana, where he also concluded his postgraduate
studies.
Ilir Meta is currently a member of Parliament, founder and
President of the Board of Directors at the Institute for Peace,
Development and Integration, and member of the International
Commission on the Balkans.
Ilir Meta has an intensive political activity, staring from 1990
as an active participant in the students movement that brought
the fall down of the communist regime. Since 1992 he has been
elected Member of Parliament in all legislatures, and member of
several Parliamentarian Commissions. From 1996 to 1997 he was
deputy chairman of the -Foreign Affairs Commission of the
Parliament.
